Hotel Review: Radisson Blu Scandinavia Copenhagen

What makes this hotel stand out is its stunning cityscape view and prime city center location, conveniently close to various corporate offices and attractions.

Discovering Copenhagen is convenient when staying at the Radisson Blue Copenhagen hotel, as it is surrounded by various transportation choices such as taxi, metro, and bus stops. The hotel's proximity to Christianshavn allows easy access to well-known attractions like the Strøget pedestrian street and Nyhavn harbor. Additionally, Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is only a short 15-minute drive away.

Thai cuisine is available at The Blue Elephant, while Filini serves Italian and Mediterranean dishes at the hotel's two restaurants during regular dining hours.

The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of items in the mornings, but the tables are not accessible for wheelchairs as they are set up for standing guests. However, the staff is willing to assist you.

Room Accessibility

The accessible room is designed to accommodate manual wheelchair users. One side of the bed is positioned for easy wheelchair transfer. The bed is comfortable, at a suitable height, and features bedside control for the lights, along with small bedside tables.

Renovation Needed

The interior decor is outdated with a 90's aesthetic and requires renovation, particularly the adapted bathroom. Here are the reasons why;

- The wall handle next to the toilet is not conveniently placed, with only one foldable bar on the other side for support.

- The sink, although having open space underneath, is very small.

- The shower lacks a wall seat or shower chair, leaving users with an unstable stool as the only option for shower use.

Considering the compact size of Copenhagen center and the high demand for hotel rooms, this could be a good choice for a brief stay.
